The member representing Igbo-Eze North Constituency II at Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Innocent Ugwu Popularly Known As Okogba, flagged off the Installation of Street lights across the 10 wards in his constituency.
The flag off took place at Essodo 1 (Aji), the headquarter of Igbo-Eze North Constituency II.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Okogba thanked God for the peace He has given to Enugu State through His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi, the Executive Governor of Enugu State.
Speaking further, He said, “I’m embarking on this project to argument the efforts of the governor in developing rural areas in the State and also, to help the security personnels in discharging their duties at night.”
The Street lights totalling about 150 will be spread across the 10 wards in his constituency and wards with multiple villages will get more.

“This project I’m executing is from the savings i made from my salary due to the love i have for my constituents because we do not have constituency project from the state”, he added
Hon. Dr. Engr. Simon Atigwe, member representing Igbo-Eze North/Udenu at the Federal House of Representatives, while speaking at the flag off, commended Hon. Okogba for being thoughtful for his constituents even though they don’t have budget for constituency project.
He also said that all hands must be on deck to cushion the efforts of the governor in developing rural areas.
Currently, the installation has been completed in Umuitodo 3 (Olido and Imufu) and Essodo 1 (Aji), and will continue in other wards.
The people of Igbo-Eze North Constituency II applauded Okogba for his show of love towards his constituents as they look up for more.
