Dr. Hussaina Danjuma Goje the daughter of former Gombe Governor has resigned as the Commissioner for Environment and Forest Resources barely 24 hours her was attacked
Hussaina in a short video made available to the media said her resignation was on personal grounds
She appreciated Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for giving her the opportunity to serve the state.
“Today Saturday November 6, 2021, I wish to inform the general public and
media organisations that I, Dr Hussaina Goje have tendered my formal resignation from my position as Honorable Commissioner of Environment and Forest Resources to His Excellency the Executive Governor or Gombe State Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya effective today.”
“I also wish to inform that my resignation was made based on my personal reasons. With this, I wish to show my appreciation and the opportunity given to me by Governor Yahaya to serve as a member of the Executive Council this administration,” she said.
Recall that on Friday, Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje, the father of the resigned Commissioner was attacked by suspected thugs, who blocked his convoy on his way to Gombe.
