Following Governor Peter Mbah’s directive, the Enugu State security operatives have bursted the criminal gang which murdered the Ogbete Market Traders Association’s Chairman, Mr Stephen Aniagu.
The 10-man criminal gang specialized in car snatching had shot and killed Mr Aniagu after several minutes of resistance on 14 September, 2024.
Governor Mbah had vowed to haunt down the criminal elements wherever they were, directing security special forces to swing into action.
Two of the gang members who were arrested after dedicated efforts confessed to the crime.
They gave a vivid description of the incident and how the spoils were shared amongst themselves.
