The All Progressive Congress Imo state chapter has suspended Senator Rochas Okorocha, the Former Governor of Imo State over anti-party activities.
In a state signed by National Secretary CECPC and National Chairman CECPC, it read; this is to communicate to you, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party ratification of your suspension by the Imo State chapter of our great party for anti- party activities.
The suspension follows after the recommendation by the Imo State Disciplinary Committee set up to investigate allegation of gross anti-party activities against you which is in line with Article 21 (B) I – OV of the party’s Constitution.
Below are the anti-party activities on which the investigation and subsequent suspension were relied upon.
1. Continuous discrete meeting with the opposition party both the state and National level.
2. Working in opposition to the APC -led government in Imo State.
3. Flagrant public abuse on the person and office of the President, federal Republic of Nigeria (an APC-led Government).
4. Sundry outstanding Disciplinary issues with the party at the state level.
The is committed towards the sustenance of Democratic Virtue/integrity and such find these anti-party activities weighty enough to ratify your suspension from the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.
Subsequently, the National Working Committee (NWC) shall communicate any further change on your membership status of the party”
