The attention of Enugu South LGA Media Department has been drawn to the news making rounds with claims that, the Executive Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Chimezie Robinson Nkwuo is sponsoring the candidate of the Labour Party (LP) towards the yet to be concluded Enugu South Urban Constitutency Re-run Election, to an extend of dishing out a whooping sum of Eight Million Naira (8,000,000) against it’s party candidate, Mr. Sam Okechukwu Ngene.
The news is only but a cheap blackmail, false and evil from evil people in Enugu South. The chairman of Enugu south LGA has in the last Governorship Election in Enugu state had physical combat with Labour Party in his polling boot. And at the end, People’s Democratic party (PDP) and the Chairman equally defeated the main opposition party Labour Party (LP) in his polling unit, Ward and LGA, which contributed to the victory of PDP in the State during the governorship election.
Going further, the chairman has also given Labour Party a monumental resistance in this present re-run election which Labour Party thought it’s going to be workover. The mayor has also given the opposition party open challenge at every stage of the rerun election as PDP Party man. He has sponsored and fully funded from the reconciliation stage of PDP Party members up to this stage of the rerun Election, it is verifiable.
We also wish to state that, the said group picture in which the misfit liar, Mr. Nonso Nwatu used in the publication of the said fallacious, derogatory and illicit news was taking in Nsukka, during a funeral service in which the Council Chairman Hon. Barr. Chimezie Robinson Nkwuo attended and other of his colleagues on behalf of Barrister Onyeike who lost his brother and with the Council Chairman also in the picture is Chief Registrar of Enugu State Customary Court, Barrister Enumah.
Evidently, Barrister Onyeike is currently the Personal Assistant (PA) to the Chief Judge of Enugu State and a colleague of Enugu South Local Government Chairman, Barr. Chimezie Robinson Nkwuo.
It is pertinent to inform Mr. Nonso Nwatu and his cohorts that, during such ceremony(ies), dignitaries and invites usually take a picture with the bereaved person(s) and such was the outcome of the said group photography he is parading online with fetish claims of the Chairman having a secret meeting with Labour Party members in Nsukka.

Going further, we are also challenging the Chief blackmailer, Mr. Nonso Nwatu to provide the process through which the said money was paid, either by cheque, bank transfer or direct cash donations with other substantial evidence to prove his overzealous ambition of tarnishing the image of the Council Chairman, over the devilish intention of one Mr. Kelvin Edeh who has been parading himself as the next anointed Executive Chairman of the Council.
Again, we equally noticed that, this cheap blackmail came up immediately the Chief sponsor of this quick to die publication, Mr. Kelvin Edeh was cautioned over his overambitious moves and claims that, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr. (DR) Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has adopted and anointed him as the next Executive Chairman of Enugu South and also, his baseless claims that, the Honorable Commissioner For Local Government Affairs, Rural Development and Chieftaincy, Hon. Deacon Okey Ogbodo has accepted to work as his campaign manager, after having a meeting with him at his residence with other stakeholders of the Council.
Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard the news as the Council Chairman, Hon. Barr. Chimezie Robinson Nkwuo is working hard to ensure that, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) reclaims all her lost seats in the State, using the Enugu South Urban Rerun Election as a point of target.
We are also issuing this as a warning to Mr. Nonso Nwatu and his cohorts, to halt from spreading fake news, as law enforcement agencies will stop at nothing, until the perpetrators of the evil publication is brought to book.
